Welcome to Sidearm Cafe and Gallery

“According to legend, coffee was first discovered by an Ethiopian goat herder when he noticed his goats were more lively than usual after eating a certain type of beans.”

The first ever coffee plant was discovered in Ethiopia in the 11th Century, with its white blossom that smelt like jasmine and a red, cherry-like fruit. Back then, the leaves of the so-called "magical fruit" were boiled in water and the resulting concoction was thought to have medicinal properties. Fast forward a millennium to the Y2k years, developments paved the way for the modern cup of Joe but still more happened before your morning pick me up became what it is today...

Today coffee has become an art form, a passion; that's why here at Sidearm Cafe, we ensure we keep the 'magic' of coffee alive and, we welcome you along on the journey...
